Notation view unusable for large sessions
I'm not sure how many of you are using Pro Tools 8 for film work, but here it seems a film template is just too much for Pro Tools's notation view to handle. To open the midi editor on a 100+ midi track session causes either a 1-3 minute delay while Pro Tools updates track settings or whatever or a flat our crash.
Current system is a MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 gHz 6 GB of ram, running Kontakt and other VI's but mostly using outboard samplers. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that EVERY session in Pro Tools 8 has to be 12 hours long? I'd imagine having to calculate 12,000 measures worth of music probably takes a while. Pleae fix this. I have been waiting for notation view for years. It's so hard to have it there tempting me ) : |

Re: Notation view unusable for large sessions
This is the Windows forum. You may have better luck posting on the Mac forum.
Cheers,
