Please Help!!.. Have 002 but cannot find the right software

hopefully someone can lead me in the right direction

I purchased an 002 about three years ago, and recently moved and got new computer.. the new computer is a PC and runs windows 7... and the last update that digi has me under record/have serial for is 7.3. which will not run on vista.

can i get my 002 to run on this computer? and what version do i need to get (also will it cost any extra money?)

There is no official support for Windows 7, currently. However, some have had success with the beta drivers. In which case, you will need the most current version of Pro Tools, and yes you will need to buy the upgrade.

Assuming you need to upgrade, you would need to buy Protools 8, which is $150 from a dealer or from the Digi store. Note that this is a full installer, so you don't need to already have 7.3 installed, in fact it's recommended that you uninstall it first.

Your other option would be to yank out the drive with Win7 and temporily install a new drive with XP on it until they approve Win7. One way or another though you will need 8.0.3 or higher to run Win7
