Default Switching between two sets of monitors on Omni ?

Hi.

I wonder if it's possible to hook up 2 or maby even 3 sets of monitors to the Omni for A/B/C ing mixes ?

There are only one set of TRS outputs on box.
How do I hook up my second and possibly third monitors sets and how so I switch between them on the Omni ?

I have been researching moving to HD Native and the OMNI and that was one of my questions as well.

Don't know how well it works, but there looks there are options to do that

I know there's a way to do it on the Omni where you can just press the ALT button. My local Guitar Center has it set up this way, I'll try to find out later today how it's set up.

Regardless, you'll probably need a DB25 to TRS cable to do it.

Thanks. I have the DB25 to TRS cable, but can't figure out how to set it up.

Thanks but i am hoping it can be done without any additional gear.
One of the reasons for buying Omni was because i wanted an all in one solution.
But i find it a bit limiting. 2 headphones out would be much better. Also some easy way to switch between different monitor speakers. 4 more line inputs would not hurt either. Maby next device.

Anyway, I think omni should have had an separat TRS output for ALT in addition for the main TRS out instead of the DB25 output. I find it very limiting and confusing!

The DB25 analog output cable is not long enough to reach my B set monitors as is.
Besides its all jack connectors so it would involve some soldering to XLR and in addition some extra XLR cables or adapters to reach my B set monitors.

Not very elegant and not a very good solution to keep the high end signalpath.

You can obtain DB25 cables in a variety of lengths and in a variety of "other" connectors (TRS, XLR-M, XLR-F).

And I believe Redco (and possibly other vendors) will allow you to mix-and-match the "other" connectors. So you could have a cable with a DB25 on one end, and 2 x TRS, 2 x XLR-M, 2 x XLR-F, and 2 x RCA connectors.

Good luck...

I'v resoldered the thing myself. Iv now got XLR male on 1-4 and keept the jacks on the rest (5-8).

I'v also removed the outer black rubber layer so I actually reach all my monitors instead of messing with adapters and even more cables.

Just wonder if removing the outer black rubber layer was a bad or good idea ?
Does it provide any sound isolation of is it just for protecting the cable ?
