Default shift + m does not mute track

Hi, when I click in a track, I'm able to shift + I or shift + s to input select or solo a track, but shift + m doesn't work. It only puts the playback cursor one track down (like keyboard focus + m does). I'm on a Azerty-keyboard. Does anyone have an idea why this doesn't work. Or do I need to use another key combination? thanks, this would be a real time saver!

sorry Chris, this doesn't work. I have my cursor in one track and the track is selected; when I use apple+ M, nothing happens.

Using shift + m only extends my blinking cursor line (playhead) to the track underneath.

Apple-m is the shortcut to mute a region, it won't do anything unless you have something selected.

The M key on an azerty keyboard is where the ; key is on a qwerty, I think this is the problem - as ; is the commands-focus key for move cursor down a track. Try the ? key instead, I think this the key you have where the M is on a qwerty.
