Mbox2 Pro has gone unresponsive after software install - help!

I recently bought a Kensington Expert Mouse for use with my MacBook Pro (10.5.3), and decided today to install the Mouseworks software for it. Upon finishing the install, I discovered that it was not compatible with Intel-based Macs, so I uninstalled it. Somewhere along the way my Mbox2 Pro has become unresponsive. I route all audio from the MBP into it, and nothing is going through, it won't receive MIDI either.

Is there anything I can attempt to make this work? I really don't want to have to restore my computer, as my last backup was a while ago (I know, I know...)

Any suggestions?

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing Pro Tools?

Also, the Kensingon software works fine even though they haven't (and won't) released any updates. I use it with my Turbo Ring trackball with no problems on 10.5.4.

So after a deep breath and a phone call, it started working again - seems to be more of an issue of the MBox2 Pro and an external hard drive not being happy about sharing the same firewire bus...
