Default Can\'t mute sends

Just got my Command8 in and trying all the features but Muting Sends isn't working, at least according to the manual. I'm running v6.9 TDM. When I press the apple/ctl button, I see the select light turn green where the send it, but pressing select doesn't mute it, or turning it red. If I mute the send via the mouse on the screen it shows up red. Thanks!

Yeah, 6.9 has lost the command funtionality. digi techs know about it, its a drag going backwards like this. they were working fine in 6.7.
