Issue with going from 48K session to 96K
When I go from a 48K session to a 96K session, I have to quit PT's in order for it to clock correctly from my Rosetta 800, which I am using as my master clock... I get clicks and pops if I don't. Has anyone had this happen?

Re: Issue with going from 48K session to 96K
surely I don't have to quit pt's to go from a 48k session to a 96k session. Is this a pt's issue or is this what is supposed to happen?

Quote:
Have current session open with its sample rate locked (say 48k) In Session Setup Window, change clock to " internal " (obvs only on a mixed system) Close 48k session Change Sample Rate on Rosetta to new session rate (96k) Open dummy session with nothing in it, and change Session Setup Sync to receive from Rosetta 96k. (Some plugins like TL Space seem to cause issues when expecting a certain sample rate conversion for the IRs) Close dummy, open 96k session. Seems like a lot, but in practice not much. Haven't gotten to my new rig much yet to test with PT HD 9, but on PT7.4, PT did NOT like having its external clock change from a 3rd party device, jumping between sessions. Hope that helps in the troubleshooting at least. MT

Re: Issue with going from 48K session to 96K
I'v also have problems syncing PT9 (MboxPro) with my Black Lion Microclock MKII at 92 and 192 kHz.
Result is that I stopped using the microclock. I have to switch forth and back between internal and word clock many times (3-4 times) befor it syncs. Also there is a nasty clicking noise when switching between internal or word clock at 96 and 192 kHz. Seems to work fine at 44kHz tho. |
