error line 865...

every time i try to make a crossfade while its playing i get this error in my task window "assertion in "/Volumes/Development/vb_cliff/AlturaPorts/PT4_App/MacBuild/...../Fades/UFadeRgn.cpp", line 865" any1 have anyideas..

but it only happes for the right side (of a stereo track), the left sides gets the fade drawn fine....on mono tracks, i just get the error...i have to stop playback to draw crossfades, wtf is up??

any ideas?

Check out the "General Troubleshooting" thread, specifically the area about deleting Database and Volume files.

so i followed the instructions and deleted the volume and database, and im still getting this error when trying to make a cross fade, or any kinda fade while playback is playing, i must stop playback then create the fade....any ideas??

Just to be absolutely sure, what did you trash, exactly (what were the names of the folders and where were they located)?

Also, does this happen in only 1 session, or in all of them?

this happens in all of my sessions...

i trashed the Digidesign database folder which was located on both my main HD and my external HD (which i use for recording)

im on a macbook. 2.0 ghz, 2 gigs ram, running 7.3.1

You need to also trash the master database file located at MacHD>Library>Application Support>Digidesign>Databases

Trash the databases folder along with the Digidesign Databases folders as before and try again.

i followed those directions, and im still getting the same line error....i seem to cant place a crossfade anywhere during playback...
