Default Custom console using series 500 modules?

Who is running a custom series 500 console as a front end for PT?

Building DIY 500 kits? Preferred brand?

Seventh Circle Audio looks good but not series 500. BUT could arrange on a vertical rack shelf?

Who is doing this?

Thanks,

Do you mean with full channel strips with sends, or just 500 rack as preamps?

Just series 500 pres, EQ and dynamics.

However, is anyone doing the entire channel strip thing including sends, etc?

I guest I am dreaming of building a full functioning console around series 500 gear. CAPI appears to come close but gets involved.

Thx

Billy

Pretty sure Purple Audio even makes a fader bank, but at the end of the day, I feel no need for a console(although I would like to have a serious control surface like a D Command es with 24 faders). You can certainly create channel strips with 500 modules, but how much process do you really need on the way in? I have 6 500 preamps I use for tracking electric guitars and bass(bass also goes thru a Retro Doublewide compressor in the 500 rack), but I also have plenty of other preamps(I do try to keep outboard preamps in pairs, just in case I need a good stereo input) Lots of 500-compatible stuff out there so its really down to your imagination(and your wallet)

I’ve been using the DIYRE setup for a few weeks and have been more than satisfied. But still don’t understand why no 500 chassis with light pipe
