Default AutoHotKey and ALT/WIN Key Issue: Anyone Solved?

I've tried searching the forum and have reached out to a few people haven't yet found an answer.

So, anyone who has attempted to make macros is probably aware that Pro Tools takes control of the ALT and WIN keys in a weird way, so when you program those keys they don't work.

Has anyone discovered a way around this? I tried reassigning ALT to a function key thinking maybe AHK is simulating the actual keystroke input of the keyboard somehow... no dice.

Obviously, there has to be a method of input that works because if you plug in a keyboard and hit ALT, it does what it's supposed to do! There's got to be a way to wrap AHK or macro keyboards as if they're the actual keyboard.

No resolve. Typically the best way is to find the shortcut you need through the menu's and access them that way.

damn...

I'm trying to create a keyboardless workstation without going touch screen.

I have looked far and wide but I don't believe there's a menu option for the Alt "apply to all" or SHIFT+ALT "apply to selected tracks"

The thing is, DTouch for Pro Tools somehow manages to replicate the real ALT and WIN keys virtually-- not sure how they're doing this.

It's a kind of off-topic but, I have an issue with PT 12.5 where my Alt and Win shortcuts are not recognized in Pro Tools. It happens suddenly during the work. Windows key opens "start menu" instead of doing the usual PT stuff. After PT restart everything comes back to normal. It makes me crazy for days now (since I reinstalled PC).

This issue makes me mad... it means no stream deck or sound flow for windows users.

It's worth noting that Tipro keyboards do succeed in using programmable keys with the alt key included, BUT, its software seems to actually write the macros in the keyboard memory, son it's not some software emulating the keys, windows/ pro tools sees it as real key commands.
