How´s your UAD treating you?

I´m thinking about buying an UAD card to use w/ my G4 Dual 533 (512RAM) runing 6.4 LE w/ a 001, so I can have a bit more DSP power to work. What do you guys think about your UAD? Can you please post your setup (mac, digi hardware, software version and OS version) and your thoughts about the system?

Not too good... It works and sounds good... until the UAD-cpu meter goes to about 30 - 35%, then it won't work anymore... But 'til then its ok. You will for sure could run a bit more then me because of your faster soundcard. But it takes a bit of your cpu too, so when you have an old machine... well, I don't know...

They're the best I've heard, and I guess it runs a bit better with 002. With mbox... Hmmm, alot of cuemixing and bouncing going on...

Hi,

The Uad-1 is fantastic, especially the comps. I went to logic actually because of the possibility to use UAD/Powercore plugs. Not having Delay compensation in LE made it too complicated for me. But there is a rumor about PTLE 7 having delay compensation.

Otherwise, check sonalkis plugs out... heard good about Firium/Eqium.. But you need the VST wrapper, a great addon from Fxpansion.com

forgot, the UAD/PC plugs consumes a lot!! of CPU power... could be better with PTLE 6.7, I'm still on 6.4.
This on a 2x2 G5, 1,5gb ram Digi 002

yeah its almost as if someone doesnt want the two things to work together

I also switched o logic for the UAD and other reasons
