I did all suggested solution from deleting prefs workspace files, checking repairing permissions, changing system language, reinstalling prottols from new admin account ,,,,,, and so on.

Meahnwhile I installed protools 12.6.1 on a laptop.
Searching in a projectfioder, wich has only wacvor aif files results in a crash.

I am LOST.

This is what support wrote yesterday:
5) As a final resort, I would also consider upgrading to Pro Tools 12.7, which will be available towards the end of the year. The Workspace environment has been reworked in this version and the issues you are facing may not occur in 12.7.

I solved the problem 4 years ago. This thread is 5 years old.

I found a few corrupted wav files in my own librarys. As soon as I removed them there were no crashes anymore.
The crazy thing was that every other program (logic nuendo QuickTime…..) had absolutely no problem with those files. Only protools crashes as soon as it has seen those files during searches or scanning
