Hey Frank,

The noisy faders issue was fixed with a eucon software/firmware update. No more slamming faders and knocking caps off, and smooth movements. I've never experienced any of the display issues. Build quality is what I'd expect from a controller in this price range. I'm running a Mix and a Transport and for the money I think it's fantastic.

To be exact I have one of the Euphonix MC Artists v2, but I performed the firmware update just fine, and the boot screen now says Avid on power up. I did have a chattering fader that went away with the update. There IS a slight flickering of the touchscreen, but I don't know if that is what people are referring to. You have to be right above the screen and close to see it, from a normal distance I don't notice it. I feel that Avid/Eucon is staying on top of this piece and I feel the build quality is pretty solid, along the lines of the 003, which I do own...out on loan since I don't have room for it. The 003 has been around town and has no problems though I'm not planning that for the Artist, it gets babied at the studio.
