Default Cheap price on RAM chips

This is not related to Digi 001 but I thought it might be helpful for some users out there. I just bought a 128Meg RAM chip for my G4 for $66 total. Check out www.crucial.com. They are a memory manufacturer with a substantial reputation. Right now they are selling these RAM chips for G4 Macs & others at $65.69 a peice with shipping included if you purchase online. Might make a great Christmas present if you are underpowered in the RAM department.

they offer different types of RAM. What's the difference between SDRAM PC-100 and SDRAM PC-133? Does it matter with protools?
It looks like you could buy 2 128mb chips for less than buying a 256mb.

I just got 2 256mb crucial ram chips for my g4, seems to be working fine, installation took all of one minute. Free 2 day ground delivery too. Prices are very low now, buy while you can.

Buy the RAM that's recommended for your system. Websites will list this. You can buy generic RAM that may work, but the speed rating might be off. G4s run fastest with a 2-2-2 rating.

Buy the bigger the better, it will leave slots for future purchases.
