Exclamation Seeking help

Hi. I'm kinda new to Pro Tools and wanted to see if anyone could help me out. So here's the situation. I found a really good deal on a MBox 2 factory bundle through an ad. I bought it from the guy and he is helping to change the registration over to my name. I have a new Mac Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.1 OS X. I'm under the impression that only Pro Tools 8.0 will run on the new OS. The bundle I got is 7.3 I installed it and it crashes halfway through loading up. It crashes while loading a Chorus.dbm (I think it's .dbm, but I could be wrong) My question is, is it crashing because my OS is too new, or is it the plug-in? Also, if I can't even run 7.3, how do I go about upgrading to 8.0? Thanks in advance for any help.

SL is not qualified with Protools yet.

8.0cs3 has been working for some people

8.0.3 prerelease has been working for some

7.3 is unlikely to work under any circumstances. 7.4.2 was the first version to work with Leopard, I believe...

Yeah, I thought so. If I buy the upgrade the 8.0, do I have to have 7.3 installed to upgrade? Or how does that work?

Right, in fact you must uninstall previous versions before installing PT8.
