The reason I asked is because we had not previously received the updater in Avid Link before a day ago...after the issue had been reported and Avid stated they were aware of it. So, when it showed up, we thought that a solution had been found and Avid was again pushing the fixed update. We were under the impression that Avid had pulled the updater once they realized it was flawed and that is why we had not seen it in Avid Link earlier.

Licensing team already reached out to izotope. Team is just waiting for response at the moment. Will update this thread soon.

Thank you for the update; we will refrain from updating until we hear that the issue is resolved.

This exact question has been asked 800,000 times in threads across the internet while a bug is current. Perfectly valid. Not only that, it invites Avid to respond about the current state of a fix, which they did (thanks tope!).

No the best way to get around this for personal convenience is to pull the iZRX11SpectralEditorAAXHook plugin out of the Audio Plugins folder, then install pro tools, then put the plugin back into the Audio Plugins folder (overwriting the older version Avid installed)

Indeed. And if you happen to forget to pull it first (as I did) you will likely have a copy of the pre-installation version of the plugin on your backup drive.

Though I'd still feel more comfortable using the installer since I don't know precisely all that was removed or changed during the update.

Just put him on your ignore list like I did.
