The 2nd goup of 8 faders jumps rhythmically, apparently to the clock. They move in rhythmic unison, although they physically move in different directions. Disconnected/reconnected power supply - problem comes back in an hour. It usually happens when I open a session and the faders jump into position for the 1st time. The board is now unusable. Anyone else ever have this problem?

Mine does the same, had it sent to a Digi repair center here in Canada and they couldn't replicate the problem...so it wasn't fixed. For me it's random in terms of frequency and which group of 8 faders it affects. I can concur that tends to happen when opening or closing a session (especially if closing one session to go to another). Would love to know what's going on here. Maybe DIGI can give us some insight. BTW - I have had my power supply changed, so hopefully that can be ruled out.

Did you put in the new power supply yet? Let me know how it works out. The authorized service center here in NY said turnaround time is 3 weeks, which is beyond ridiculous. I'm certain that they WON'T be able to replicate the problem which means I'll pay way too much and not get the problem corrected.

Sounds like it's a bad fader motor control board.
You should contact tech support or an authorized repair center by phone for information on getting it repaired. I'm not sure why they wouldn't be able to repro the problem, other than it's in intermittent connection. Bad ground, possibly? |

I did put in the new power supply and I also changed out the fader motor control board on 1-8 as that was initially the probelem one, but like i said, there is really no consistency with mine, sometimes it will be 9-16 or 17-24. I have had it "serviced" by a digi rep here in Canada and they could not find any problems with it and like I said were unable to replicate the problem
ClickRec - I have found a fix - that works sometimes for me, which is to hit the Bank Right and Left buttons repeatedly and placing my fingers very lightly on the affected faders. Let me know if that works for you. |

Touch something metal and put a finger on one of the faders - does the problem stop? If so, that's almost assuredly a bad ground. |

Thanks so much for responding DIGI!!!
![]() 1. If it is indeed a ground issue, is that something that would have been looked into at the authorized repair center? 2. Is it something I may be able to fix myself or does it need to go back to CEV in Montreal? |
