Default PT7 RealTime MIDI Quantize Bug

Hello, Im having an issue when i use the real time midi quantize with the mpc templates and then save and reopen the session, the quantize sounds much different although the settings appear to be the same. I have 2 major sessions im working on atm and this bug seems to only affect one of them so far.

TO recreate the bug.

1. Start a new session
2. Make a new midi track.
3. Play a sequence.
4. Quantize the sequence to 1/16
5. Enbale the new real time midi quantize effect
6. Select a hard mpc groove template like 75%
7. Listen to the new swing (AWESOME FEATURE BTW THANKS DIGI)
8. Export it as audio if you need to compare
9. Save sessioon and reopen it
10. Now Notice how the swing is way off and different even though it still says 75% It sounds more like 64% after you save it.

I hope this helps

Default Re: PT7 RealTime MIDI Quantize Bug

I have now found out exactly what the bug is doing
It's Going down 1 template seting every time i save.

So if i save at 75% the next time i re open i have to set it to 74% to get the same swing feel BUT...
Then once i think it's fixed and i save it at 74% the next time i reopen the session i have to set it to 73% so some how the templates are getting shifted down each time i save.

I hope this helps as i LOVE this feature and i cant wait untill it is fixed

Yes, we were aware of this, but the additional info on what was happening is very helpful. Thanks for letting us know!

No problem at all, Im glad the post helped

Also Off topic but Another cool feature that would be of great use. "Nested Midi Tracks" Inside of a "Instrument Track" channel strip.

Like at the top of instrument tracks, how you have the midi options right above the inserts with stuff like Pan,mute, velocity, etc.

If you could also have "Midi Channel Number" or just like the number "1" then if you switch to number 2 or "2" the midi data displayed on that instrument track would switch to midi channel 2. That way you could have your instrument track being able to use all 16 midi tracks on a single channel strip, and without the need to create and reroute/setup a new midi track for that instrument. Plus be able to keep sessions nice and neat.

Just a thought.
