Just to confirm
Hello,
I was just about to buy the Mbox micro and a macbook. I just saw that the Pro Tools LE Version is not supported on Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard. Then I read this: "Digidesign is pleased to announce Pro Tools® compatibility for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) with Pro Tools HD® 7.4.1 software" Pro Tools HD is way to expensive and professional for me My idea was to use Mbox Micro and a Guitar Multi FX pedalboard that works as an interface and is connected to the computer via USB. So, before I do anything. I have to wait and see if in the future the Pro Tools LE version will be compatible with Leopard 10.5 mac OS? Thanks for your time |

Re: Just to confirm
Leopard will be supported, just not today. It could be a week, it could be a month. Noone knows. Also, be aware that the micro doesn't have audio inputs so if you were planning on recording vocals or guitar licks, you need the regular mbox.

Re: Just to confirm
You won't be able to record from your guitar effects board, even if it plugs into your Mac with USB.
Pro Tools will only record audio through a Pro Tools interface, the micro has no audio inputs.

First of all, thanks for the info. Ok, I'll go with the Mbox 2 mini for recording guitar. You say that Pro Tools will only record audio through a Pro Tools interface. What if I want to record audio from the computer itself?. I say this because I want to use Reason. So, it is possible to record a session from Reason to Pro Tools? Thanks for your time |

Re: Just to confirm
Of course, via rewire.

Could you explain to me how does the "via rewire" works? |

Re: Just to confirm
Hey,
Rewire basically connects to applications to each other that has support of rewire. The makers of Reason is the ones who did rewire in the first place. Basically what you do is you create a track in Pro Tools, choose Reason from the plug-in list and then launch Reason. Audio will be routed into Pro Tools. |
