Default Surround Pan linking

This is happening in 8.0.1cs1, and 7.4.x.

It also occurs with "Absolute pan linking" on & off.

Grouped tracks, will follow if drawing pan automation on the track, but I cannot get grouped tracks panners to link when grabbing the panner itself. No matter what I do when trying to grab the panner & mouse it around, that track pans independently of grouped tracks.

This is the same whether I'm grabbing the panner on the track or the panner "plug-in" window.

What am I missing? There must be a way to link grouped tracks when grabbing the surround panner.

Bump

I never noticed that panners, even just stereo panning, doesn't group when grabbing the panner. For stereo I've always just drawn the curve, and grouped tracks follow.

For Surround panning though, drawing the pan graphically is out of the question - too many graphs. Now that I've FINALLY discovered Glide for surround panning, I really need the panning to group when grabbing the panner. Copy/Paste panning automation works, but that's a time consuming way to work. Plus, you can't really audition what the panning is doing across multiple tracks until you're done with the move & copy/paste the pan. This is not productive, and leaves you guessing how the pan really sounds while you're working with the one track.

Please group the panners - or if it's already there someone please hip me to how to get them to link.

Dave, for me they do (stereo and surround) group as long as the proper box is checked in the "modify groups" window in either attributes or globals, depending on your preference.. in both the panning playlist and the actual "knobs". SB
