Default Windows laptop: mid-tier 12th gen. WORKS!!!

I just got a new laptop! Its a 16" Lenovo with 16GB DDR5 & 1TB NVMe. The CPU is a mid-tier Intel 12th gen i5-12500H. Not a super heavy hitter "desktop replacement" Pro Tools rig or anything, but its decent. I use it for simple stuff like live performance recordings, usually just a handful of mics. I'm testing it out right now & so far so good!!! I paid $869 plus tax new from Lenovo.

I'm still setting up the Lenovo - installs, debloats, settings, prefs, optimizations etc etc. Pro Tools is working @ buffer 64. The laptop feels zippy fast. Out of curiosity, I ran benchmark tests:
Cinebench R23 single core = 1715
CrystalDiskMark 3563 read 3362 write
I'll try to run a stress-test Pro Tools session soon. Its a really nice modern laptop. By the way, the 16" screen is awesome.

Runs good! I only use if for remotes, always small sessions. But yeah, the Lenovo is a solid laptop tool for me. Just make sure you debloat and fully optimize.
