What's the best BASS direct box direct to PT recording

What are your suggestions for recording BASS. I usually tried to mic the bass cabinet and also have a direct signal using my Avalon VT373. what are some of the great direct box for bass...Thanks

We use the Neve 1272 neve Pre of Brent Averill. So far no bass player has complained . . . even those skeptical of DI boxes, I have a lot from Jensen, Tube Tech and API pres . . . the Neve blows all away. I am sure there are others that sound good too. I generally follow with a LA2A, Drawmer or TubeTech compressor depending on the sound I want.

I use a Summit TPA-200B mic pre that also has a direct input. The combination of both the mic pre on the cab and the direct signal is absolutely amazing.

Plugging directly into the fromt of a Manley Voxbox has worked well for me.

Another vote for the Manley Voxbox. Velvety and focused. Put a Sansamp and a Compressor Bank plug on it and you should be in heaven.

Manley U-5. Best bass direct box IMHO. I've A/B'd it against the demeter, ADL tube direct, and most of the others... it's by far the best.
