Has anybody ever seen this before?
http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1339598401
-Screenshot linked above - I'm running Pro Tools 10 on a MacPro QuadCore with a licensed iLok and a digi003desk (that I've unplugged for the time being in an attempt to simplify the installation and start-up of PT). I've uninstalled & reinstalled several times to try and rid me of this error, deleted every evidence I can find of digi, avid and affiliated databases before reinstallation, but I'm always faced with this scrabbled text all over Pro Tools' start-up screens/workspace/edit/transport windows etc. If anybody has any idea what it means and how I can rid myself of it you'd make my day -Lex- |

Re: Has anybody ever seen this before?
Something is corrupt I would guess. In any case, when things are powered up, connecting or disconnecting the firewire can(and often does) fry the firewire board in the 003, the port in the computer, or sometimes both(just in case you didn't know that). I would uninstall PT(and the HD driver if that's an option) and start over(with the 003 connected but powered OFF). Install the 003 driver, reboot and run the PT installer. Power down the computer, turn ON the 003 and restart the computer.

Cool, no I have not.
Can you install a driver to use the onboard sound, would be a start to isolate the problem. |

Maybe you've deleted a font recently?

Re: Has anybody ever seen this before?
No I haven't... seems like a corrupt bit of coding... Have you tried a reinstall? I hesitate even saying so but if you wipe out your PT prefs does it go away?

Re: Has anybody ever seen this before?
Fixed, it was a Font that needed reinstalling. Been messing around with that for 2 days now.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions! |
