Wacom Cintiq as a "control surface"
Hi there!
Did anybody try using this thing as a "control surface": http://www.itechnews.net/wp-content/...ntiq-20WSX.jpg I mix with the mouse. It's ok but can be very tedious sometimes. I tried using a Control 8 for a few weeks but couldn't get used to it. So I figured using something like this is somewhere inbetween mixing with the mouse and mixing on a hardware control surface. What are your thoughts? :) |

Re: Wacom Cintiq as a "control surface"
I have a Fujitsu T2010 12.1" notebook. It has an active tablet screen made by Wacom.
I have used it with Pro Tools LE. The input is exactly the same as a mouse, so it works. Whether or not it is ideal is subjective. I prefer a mouse at the end of the day, but for certain tasks, drawing with a pen was nice. I mix solely with a mouse. I tend to draw all of my fades rather than using the Mix view and recording automation.
