Default Discovered a display error

When I change volume automation, and look at the mix-window, I can see the fader do the move instantly, when it should. The display below the fader that shows the level in dB follows the fader movement with a very noticable delay.
There are even times, when this display doesn't show any change at all, even though the fader is moving.
This is not a big deal, but I was very uneased when I just setup a fresh session to work with, and I couldn't see any change in that display.
Always a creepy feeling, when things aren't how the should be, and you have no idea why.

Can anybody confirm this behaviour?
