Default HDX power cable...

Hi everyone !

I just bought a second hand HDX card but the guy didn't send me the power cable (neither the mini digilink cable...). I bought the mini digilink cable but I don't know how can I get the power cable !! I'll try to contact Avid tomorrow morning but I looks like it's gonna be a pain in the ###
Any ideas ?

Thanks !

I think the power cable for any PCIe graphics card will work.

Hi Chief - Unfortunately, there are different cables for graphics cards vs. an HDX card. The connector on my GeForce GTX 680 is an 8-pin and the connector that goes into the HDX card is a 4-pin, much smaller pins, too. Best of luck to you, Mazarkill. Or should I say, how did it go?

There are 8 pin to 4 pin power adapters I think.

you can get this cable easily from Avid customer support.
I myself purchased one of those some time ago. If I remember correctly, there are different versions for PC or Mac.
This is what I ordered: part number 9180-6007-00

Hi, welcome to the community.

As said, Avid Support can provide you with a proper cable, just call them or your local dealer. Or you can try finding one on eBay
