Default Mbox 2 as standalone soundcard

I would like to get rid of my soundcard but before I do that I need to find a way to make my Mbox 2 work with all applications including computer sounds, iTunes and anything that I play via the internet.

I have two hard drives. One is for my music and the other for personal use. At the moment I am able to use Mbox 2 along with Pro Tools and SampleTank 2.

I downloaded the Standalone Audio Drivers along with Digi MME Helper. It worked with Windows Media Player but not with real player, iTunes or the Internet.

By the way with Windows Media Player it sounded nice and clear but it sounded chopped up with iTunes. It gave me an error message with Real Player (Can not open the audio device. Another application may be using it) and with the Computer (sounds from prompts or loggin in etc) and the Internet (youtube and music players on a web page etc) no sound comes out.

Does anyone know if there is an actual way to make Mbox 2 the interface that provides all the sound for everything I do in the computer so that I can get rid of the soundcard?

As far a Itunes and any digi interface its a well known issue with choppy sound, as far as Real Player.. You can route a audio cable from the built soundcard to the Mbox input as a workaround....
