MIDI problems, lights flash on 002, but nothing?

I have had my MIDI setup (sampletank) working fine for about a year. I decided to move my studio downstairs (to be more productive!) and now the MIDI is not working. I do not remember having to do anything that weird

MIDI out from keyboard connected to
MIDI in on 002
AUX channel with Sampletank plugin (instrument selected)
MIDI channel going to Sampletank Channel 1
MIDI channel armed to record

when I press a key from my synth, the MIDI light flashes and I get no sound

I even opened up old sessions (when the MIDI worked) and cannot get it going

any suggestions welcome....after an hour, I am getting a tadfrustrated!
seems like a simple thing..

yes, the midi thru is checked on the MIDI section

(also, forgot to mention)

both faders are up
seeing no signal on the MIDI channel (but seeing it on the 002
virtual keyboard works on the plugin

got it working...
thought a reboot might help.

rebooted and it works fine.
