Default Cant find Pro Tools after installing

Hi Folks,

I have a sort of a weird problem. I recently purchased the M-Audio (M-Track DUO). After going through few videos on installing pro tools I downloaded it.
Extracted the files and did the set up.

But weird enough, I didnt get the usual screens that pops up during installation. After everything was done, I tried to run the program. But guess what, the program is nowhere to be found on my system.

When I search for "pro tools" the computer just shows me the downloaded installation files folder.

No program or executable files found. Neither was the 'Avid' folder found in the programs folder under windows.

Can someone please help me. Am I doing something wrong.

Hey Sameer,

It sounds like the installer failed, and very early in the process, which is why you have no Avid directory or any signs of Pro Tools. Why it failed is pretty hard to say since we know nothing about your system.

Make sure you are using the latest version of Pro Tools, which is 2021.3.
Make sure you have enough space on the drive you are installing it to, which should be your system drive (generally C:). Avid suggests 15GB of free space.

Check the Pro Tools System Requirements to make sure your system can run Pro Tools.

Lastly, you can check the Windows Event Viewer. Look in the Windows logs and check the Setup, System and Application sections for errors. It may be easier to run the installer again, then look in the Event Viewer as the errors will be at the top of the list.

Let us know what you find and we will try and get you going.

Thanks for the reply.

I have a Dell XPS 13 system with core i9 8th Gen. 32 MB Ram 2TB SSD.

I am now trying to download the 2021.3 as you said.

I will try to install this and get back to you if any problems arise.

Thanks for the support.

The message you posted suggests that Windows is not working correctly on your system and is not allowing the Windows installer to do it’s job. I would start by troubleshooting Windows using the following clean boot procedure

I performed the clean boot as advised.

When I ran the setup file below is the message I get.

Pending Pace License Support
Pending avid codecs
pending avid cloud client
pending avidlink

I dont know if this is normal!

Anyway I clicked ok and went ahead with the installation.

But now I am getting the same windows installer message that pops up around 3 times that I mentioned in the previous post.

I dont know what is wrong!

even after a clean boot the result is same!!
