Default A way to control EQ (Equilibrium) parameters with the 8 Rotary knobs

Dave from DMG Audio was kind enough to show me a way to map Plugin (Equilibrium) parameters to each knob you want on of the 8 rotary knobs.
I know it works with some other AAX plugins..

Basically you need to go to (Mac) Avid>Pro Tools>AAX Plug-Ins>select the plugin you want, right click, Show Package contents, find the PageTable.xml
open it with an editor (I use BBEdit) locate the parameters you want and then change their order to the order you want them to appear.

The only odd thing is that between each four knobs you have to set 4 parameters you aren't going to use and then skip to the next four parameters.

Good Luck.

Is there a way to do this on a PC?

As far as I know the XML files are the same in windows AAX plug-ins.

I contacted Dave Gamble of DMG Audio regarding using the Euphonix Eucon Artist series in order to control EQuality...

His answer, which seems to cover more that just Equality, I'm guessing all DMG plugins from the wording, was "I don't recommend using the artist series to control plugins."

Which is a shame, I find it is so much more easier, quicker and accurate to adjust an eq with physical knobs...

I tried the Brainworx Digital EQ and really like the way it works with the Artist Series
