Default Pan controls are affecting Volume

HI! I am Running Protools 8 le on an Hp Dual core processor and it has been running fine until just recently all of the pans in every one of my sessions acts like a volume button instead! I don't know if i hit something by accident or what but I just noticed this when I went to solo a vocal and it was already panned to the left and I couldn't hear it! Then, when i panned it to the right it turned all the way up! and now...It is doing that on every track i have including older sessions! I don't know what to do!!!!! This is very frustrating.:confused
