Odd automation issue when nudging

Running PT 9.02 with latest driver on 003R+. On a recent project, I have sessions that start with 6-10 or so imported stereo tracks. In some cases I need to move all these ahead a few seconds so the drummer can start before these tracks. I realize there are several ways to do this but one way is to select them all and just nudge them right say 5 seconds (or so). This appears to work fine, but then I realize that at this 5 second mark there is an automation point inserted on each track for each automation option (volume, pan, mute, etc). So effectively, the tracks are locked with automation and I can't mute or do anything until I go in and erase each automation 'point'.

If I instead select all the tracks and use the grabber tool to just drag all of them right a few seconds, this does not happen. So that's how I now do this...and will in the future.

No biggie, but last time I did this was PT 8.x, and never experienced this behavior. Just curious if anyone had any insight or if I have some option indadvertently set that causes this.

Don't you hate that? I can't remember which options cause it. But it can be solved pretty quickly by selecting a time range that includes the automation points on all tracks at once, then choose Clear Special/All Automation from the Edit menu. Boink. Gone.
