Default Dual DVI Monitors on PT7?

I tried searching for an answer but had no luck.

I recently upgraded to PT7. When I did, I found that the way I had my windows set up in PT6.9 no longer worked: I had one 17" monitor for my Edit window, and one 17" monitor for my Mix window. With PT7, I had to manually drag the Mix window to the appropriate monitor.

Yesterday, I installed a new video card (BFG GeForce 6600GTOC). Now, I can't get either window, Edit or Mix, to move to my second monitor. The Transport window opens there, and so do the CPU specs window, but neither of the two major windows will work there.

Am I just neglecting something? Here's my system configuration:

Dell Dimension 4600 2.4GHz P4 w/ 800MHz FSB and hyperthreading
2.5 GB PC 3200 400 MHz RAM (4GB isn't working for some reason)
Twin Dell 17" LCD monitors (1703FP & 1704FPT)
BFG GeForce 6600GTOC 128MB GDDR3 AGP 4x/8x graphics card
Microsoft XP Professional SP2
MBox/Pro Tools 7 LE

Thanks,

Nick

If this helps clarify things: the grey "Digidesign" background can be moved to either display, but if I try to drag the background to the other display, the background "snaps" back to where it was originally. If I drag the entire background toward the other monitor, it will "snap" to the other display.

Any ideas, anyone? Thanks!

Nick

Although I feel your pain, I'm kind of glad I'm not the only one experiencing this, because then it'd be me...right?

I still haven't figured out a way to make this work.

Don't know if this will help or not. Are you certain you have dual monitors setup correctly on the video setup section or Windows? Just wondered if your new install reset something back to some kind of default. With PT open on one screen, click the resize button so the PT window does not fill a complete screen. Now drag the edges of the main PT window out to the far ends of each monitor. If that works, then drag the mix/edit windows to the monitor you want them on and drag the edges out to fill each screen. You may have already done all this but someone else may still need this info. If it all works, save your session before closing.
