Never mind. Found it. But now another question. Is the Lucid GENx6 a third horse in this race, or is it a completely different product? If it does do the same thing as the Nanosync, any experiences with or opinions on how they compare?

As far as I know the Gen X6 has no pull up/dwn features but I just got the Lucid SSG192 (which does) which for the same price or better as the ArdsyncII, has 6 word outs two of which can be set to 256X and it has a Video Black Generator while it's a $500 option on the ArdSync..Also no wall wart power plug with the Lucid as opposed to the Ard...The Lucid is brand new while the Ard is what 5 year old technology. I think the jury is still out on the existence or descripion of a sound quality difference between the Ard & Lucid.(there's an interesting thread on Massenburgs list)...Just my 2 cents... And as far as the previous post on the TC input reference feature of the Rosenthal I agree that using it would probably be the worst possible configuration...the Analog machine should be resolved to black rather than slaving the wordclock generator to a fluctuating TC source...Another 2 cents of mine...

You Reference the syncronizer controlling the analog machine to Video black Be it an Adam smith/ Sound master/Motion Worker/Timeline Lynx or whatever your using...If you don't have one there is no way to guarantee the speed of your MCI 24 track...in which case you'll have bigger sync problems than just getting Protools a nice clean word clock..Just my 2 cents....

I checked out the Massenburg thread on the Lucid. Does anyone on this site have any opinions on or experiences with comparing the Lucid SSG192 to the Nanosync or Aardsync?

God only knows! One thing is for sure

Daisiy chaining word clock cables from one interface to another is not recomended.

When using 'a bunch' of digital gear a 'house WC' is recomended.

Do you daisy chain WC?
Do you have several WC input devices?

If so then you could benefit from a WC box...

Thanks,
Clock out of USD is daisy chained thru 2 888/24s and a 882/20. My next goal is to get wordclock to Milennia Mic pre(w/appogee converter) and dats and Finalizer.
If I get stand-alone clock, is my USD really needed, other than for timecode purposes?
If I keep it, does it need to be fed?
