Default Weird graphics with .png appearing in menu

Hi,

All of a sudden my menus started showing a .png logo in frornt of my i/o and bus menus

And some images on my desktop have also got .png after them!

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/e...e/Picture7.png

Just about to reboot and see if its fixed.

Cool

That's the equivalent of the "?" you see on the internet when the link to an image file is broken. Whatever graphic is suppose to go there is probably in .png format, but missing from your hard drive.

If one could figure out what the filename for those graphics were and where they go, one could possibly customize one's graphics.

I can see it now... Pro Tools designer edition. Click on the to record.
Click on the to play. Click on the to create a feedback loop.

No VI's at the time, previously had BFD, so probably that as i remember BFD causing this sort of thing in the past.

A reboot sorted it in the session! but funny how the images on my desktop are all .png now

Chris knows this because .png is a pro tools warning that tells the mixer that his mix sounds like "pretty nasty garbage."
Sorry Chris, it's the best I could come up with for my first time back in a while. How is ya????????? Shoot me an e-mail.

This used to happen to me every once in a while in 7.3. It was always a signal to reboot, that something squirrelly could happen soon. I haven't really seen it in 7.4.
