Default Grid Lines Diasappear In Slip Mode

I noticed this first in 2022.4, and still see it in 2022.5. When editing in bars and beats and I temporarily go into slip mode, the bar:beat grid lines disappear and are replaced by a min:sec display. This happens in both the main edit window and the in the midi edit window.

This is the first time I'm seeing this after 20+ years of using PT. If there was an option to have it this way, I never knew about it and didn't want to know. The default should still have the same grid lines in both grid and slip modes. As I see it now, editing becomes 'blind' in slip mode. This can't be right; am I missing anything?

Check that “Grid” value is turn on and highlighted green.

This will enable grid lines for any editing mode you’re in.

I haven’t experienced what you’re seeing in bars and beats but I work mostly in timecode

When you're in slip mode the grid will adjust to your timecode/min:sec settings.

If you go to the COUNTER on top and change it to Bars Beats it will show the grid in slip mode.

Strange but that how it is right now

It's highlighted. This is an important part of my workflow, so it's always on.

Thanks, persen. That worked! Is this a new thing? It's never cropped up for me before. Could it be something for the guys in post?

Great !
I have no clue if it's a new thing, ha ha. But I seem to remember that it automatically also showed the "correct" grid when in slip mode. But I might be remembering wrong.

You are remembering right. That's the way it's always been. Maybe this is a new default. An 'improvement' for guys who don't want it the old way. And that's also cool if there are options. Thanks again!
