Do unused perpetual licenses ever expire?

So, I have a Pro Tools standard perpetual license redemption code that I received a few years back as part of a reseller bundle (after Avid stopped versioning their packaging, and started including iLok 3s).

If left unopened, (i.e. not activated) will it ever "go bad," or will it continue to be redeemable for Pro Tools Studio or whatever they decide to call it in the future?

According to Avid as to date, no it'll never expire (Avid can change their policy at anytime).
I would contact Avid since it's pretty old cause they might issue you a new Redemption Code.

Redeemable forever.

(There are legal/accounting issues in most states and countries if they weren't)
You may have trouble in the future with the code coming up as invalid, but you should be able to have Avid Customer Service issue a new valid code in exchange.
One thing, in addition to the code, keep a copy of the receipt it was purchased with. So in your case, you got it as part of a hardware bundle -- keep a copy of the receipt of that purchase with the code.
