I have an overdubs session tomorrow, I'll try restarting at the first sign of the noise and see if (or how long for) it cures it.

Same issue here with PT 10.2.0, MacBook Pro (2012), MOTU Traveler FW 400 interface, WD MyBook FW 800 drive. I haven't noticed the exact conditions this is happening but I feel all my audio clips have the same burst at the end. It is only on one channel on stereo files, not both sides.

I first thought it may be related to MOTU but my bandmate has the exact same problem with PT 10 (don't know which version), a similar computer, internal disk and an M-Audio Firewire audiophile interface so it's got to be a bug with PT10.

Never had this with any other version before (since 6.4)

I had the same result on my session yesterday - it would always occur at the very end of a region after I punched out. It doesn't make the noise at the time of the punch out, but when I play back that section past the punch point, I hear it. (and can see it of course).

I still have a Snow Leopard boot with 9.0.6 , Maybe I'll see if I can re-create it there..

Also, I haven't tried on stereo files - I'll check that. I do notice though that when it happens, it does so on every track that is being recorded. Makes it nice and loud when playing back a song that was just tracked with a full band and 22 inputs in record.

I just spent a day doing overdubs and got this randomly all day , still in 10.2, at a 64 buffer. Anyone have a workaround? Thinking about going back to 10.1.

It's been happening to me lately too. Just in the last couple weeks. And I haven't upgraded anything in that time. I thought it might be a trashing prefs thing, so I tried that but it didn't hellp.

g'damnit! well this is certainly not good news... im' on HD10.2 havent had a chance to track with it yet.. but i'll keep an eye on it as i do... hope its not a huge deal and it gets fixed...

Same issue on 10.2 native. I record a track. Playback. Then right at the end you could see and hear the white noise. I'm running on mac, control 24, 003. Snow leopard,internal Wd black and velociraptors. I posted a similar thread in the mac forum. Any solutions other than deleting each end of the clip would be greatly appreciated. That's are work around for the moment.

10.2 native here, same issue. Hope they fix it soon
