Default Monterey 12.3.1 Update
Has anyone running an M1 updated to the latest OS 12.3.1?



If so, any issues I should be aware of?

I don't know.

Any particular reason you want to update?
Anything Monterey offers that Bigsur don't?

Personally, I have a stable setup now, and I learned long ago to not hurry with updates if I want not to break things.

Has anyone been able to download 12.3? There is no update available on Avid Link nor the product downloads page.

You're mixing things up.
12.3 is macOS Monterey, you won't find that on Avid.com.

I updated to Monterey long ago. No issues what so ever to report. Everything works as it did on Big Sur.

Nope. I just keep my security updates up to date. I do a lot of work that is sensitive in nature.

Sounds sensible, and many will agree with you that KEEP UPDATED is a basic in staying safe and having a working setup. Not so always. ALWAYS not so with PT systems.

These days, last couple of years, things have changed drastically with Apple's SIP, System Integrity Protection. Before, we could easily roll back to a working image of our HD if something went wrong. Not so anymore.

If you haven't yet (this is to any and everybody it may concern) put some effort into understanding the new way that MacOS works.

I can say that 12.3 is stable for the last 2 weeks being used every day and even qualified by Avid.

However, I'm sure I read someone complaining about 12.3.1 on the forum earlier.
