Anyone got Bluecat latest working PT 2021.10

We had used an old Bluecat MB-7 (2.54) and it didn’t work so we paid and updated the MB-7 II but it doesn’t recieve any midi signal. If i load a synth it works with the keyboard on the VI but dead if i try to play from external keys.

Anyone knows if they just took my money and stopped MB-7 II work as a host awhile aco without telling us?

I may be mistaken, but I don’t think MB-7 was ever designed to work with VIs. I own both MB-7 and Patchwork. Patchwork has seperate plugins designed for VIs and standard effects, plus the stand alone version.

Thanks Sardi. Yeah i don’t remember but I know it has worked as we bought it just for Sylenth1 2014 so it was a minute ago. I thought that upgrading it would make it work but as of now i haven’t got it going.

Do you have time to try with a VI, i would really appreciate that or if someone else knows about this.

OK. So I did some testing for you. Loading VIs within MB-7 does work. I'd never actually tried before as like I mentioned above, I own both MB-7 and Patchwork and have always used the latter for VIs.

Also note I'm not running the latest versions of either plugins. Patchwork is not too far off the current build, but MB-7 is an older version. I didn't upgrade this as I don't use it that often. With MB-7, I'm running v2.54 which is the version you reported not working prior to upgrading right? The current version is v3.42 which I assume is the one you now have installed.



So yeah... it works. Is it possible you've not got MIDI routed correctly? You'll note in my pics that I'm running Patchwork on an Instrument track but MB-7 I have on an Aux and being triggered by the MIDI track beneath it. I tried it both ways and MB-7 also works with MIDI input on an Instrument track.



Unsure what your issue is, but maybe double check that MIDI is actually being received by that channel.
