Default Hanging on Initializing Databases
Does anyone else have this problem?
Pro tools 12 hangs on initializing databases on start up for about 5 mins?
Any suggestions on sorting this would be appreciated.

The database file is probably corrupt, use the tool in my sig to delete them (and preferences optionally) or you can just do it by hand.

Yes - I have the problem. I have tried trashing databases and prefs to no avail. It hangs - spinning ball - on the first session opening for around 10 minutes and then works fine after that. It is almost like it is taking time to warm up!!

I just downloaded and installed this from PT Expert. It doesn't say it's for 12 but it doesn't say not either. So I tried it and it's worked up to now

Why is it Trasher doesn't work every time? More to the point why do we need it? What's the deal with Pro Tools and this situation? Why can't this be fixed? I'm get seriously hacked off with Avid
