Default Would anybody like to take a shot at this?

Here is my first result experimenting with Vienna Instruments in Pro Tools:

If anybody would like to take a listen and let me know how much help it does or doesn't need, I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks,

The mix is OK. Good separation and depth.

The composition could use some work. There's little in the way of build and dynamics. Also, it's a bit 'rigid' rhythmically.

Hi Phil!

Thanks so much! I'm thrilled that you think the mix and depth are good. As for rigid, I was kind of aiming for that. And it's stagnate dynamically as well, I agree with you.

Really appreciate your time!

(Anybody else, please let me know what you think).

Many thanks,

I thought it sounded great.
Im not into that sort of thing but it was good.
There was a horn part that sounded like it was speaker breakup or digital farting.

My only real insight would be that the reverb trail might be way longer than appropriate. In my music stylings it would never be a good idea to have reverb times that mush up to different parts of the sound. Although I do realize that is really the sound of this style of music when listened to in the great concert halls but I think that is could be more of a byproduct of making the sound project to the last row as opposed to intentional reverb. just standing waves really

P,B,S:

Thank you! About the horn part, that is like a "trombone with mute" sound. But I agree, I don't like it either. Maybe it needs more stereo presence.
