Artist Transport HUI Issues

OK, I've searched and found lots of info on this but nothing I've tried seems to work.

I just bought an AVID Artist Transport for controlling PT 8 LE. I followed the software install instructions and set it up to work with HUI by dragging PT into the Eucon window where it shows up as it should. The computer sees it and "Pro Tools" shows up on the Artist Transport's scribble strip. However, when I go to the MIDI controller tab in PT preferences, all I get is "None". HUI does not show up.

I'm on a iMac running Snow Leopard. 003 Rack. PT 8.0.5. I had a Control|24 set up for 2 years with no problems.

Planning to upgrade to PT 10 but I'm not ready to do it just yet. I was hoping I could get the Transport to work for a few months in HUI mode until I can make the change over to 10.

Any help out there?
