Eleven Rack with Focusrite saffire pro 40 interface
Just wondering if anyone's tried this and if you can vouch for it working smoothly.

Re: Eleven Rack with Focusrite saffire pro 40 interface
The easiest way to use it would be to use the digital spidf out of the eleven rack into the spidf in of the Saffire. There's no reason why it shouldn't work this way.

Sounds good. Have you had any issues with it by not using a computer or DAW and instead using a live setup such as going directly from the Saffire into a PA or into a mixer-pa?

Re: Eleven Rack with Focusrite saffire pro 40 interface
What would you be trying to accomplish by going into the Saffire, and then into a P.A., instead of going directly from the Eleven Rack into a P.A.?

Since this thread could help others, I wanted to include an email excerpt from Focusrite about this: "You can use the Saffire pro 40 as a standalone device but you will need to use a computer to set it up. Once you set it up, you can save it to hardware and use it with other analog devices." |

Re: Eleven Rack with Focusrite saffire pro 40 interface
I have both the Saffire and Eleven rack, hooked up correctly SPDIF. I can get a processed signal by pluging a guitar into the rack and arming a track to record in PT with the SPDIF input. Which sounds great
Problem: I have a DI track that i want to send to the Eleven rack, process, and come back all via SPDIF. Bu all i get is digtal clipping/noise. The rack is all synced up, recognizing the spdif in/out. I dont see why this wont work? Is is something in Saffie Control? Any help would be appreciated |
