I just got Pro tools. Running on Win XP. Seems like an excellent program so far but I have a mojor problem. When I bounce a song to disk as a WAV file I can't get anything to play it back (win media or realplayer). Win media player says it can't get a codec it needs to play back. Real won't even attempt to open it. Anyone know what's going on? If win media player can't play the wav files then what good are they. What good does making WAV files that nothing can read do? FYI I have pro tools 5.3.3 and all the latest upgrades for win media and real player.
Help me!

If you want to play in winmedia create a winmedia file, if you want to playback in realplayer bounce to a realplayer file RP will accept MP3's as well. Wav files or BWAV files are for aplications that accept or use that format. Neither of those applications will accept AIFF file either. However Bwav which is now become the standard will open in many applications including quick time.

Be sure to bounce your wav to 16 bits, WMP won't playback 24 bit...
