Question Kontakt and PTLE-8

All all,
I have just recently switched from PTLE-7.4 to PTLE-8. I am using the EASTWEST Gold library which I've had for a long time. In 7.4, Kontakt (v2.2.4) worked great with no problems. The version of Kontakt I have is on the compatibility matrix.

Now that I've upgraded to PT-8, Kontakt won't sustain notes when played either from my controller or the keyboard on Kontakt. If I play a note, it will sound for a second then abruptly stop.

I thought it was just the EASTWEST instruments, but some of the Kontakt instruments display this symptom as well.

The EASTWEST stuff can't be used with Structure Free because it can't interpret the sample library. (Can Structure (premium) use the EASTWEST libraries?)

I have Garritan and it's displaying instability problems, but not as severely as Kontakt

I'd love to get some thoughts on what direction I need to take? Do I have to use the Play Player from EASTWEST? I have been told it's still very buggy and a super resource hog.

Again, any thoughts or ideas that anyone may have would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Michael

No version of Kontakt is compatible with PT 8. Take that Xmas money and do what Digi wants you to do, spend $500 on Structure.
