SPDIF input problem

When I try to record one song from CD ROM, through SPDIF input on DIGI 002 RACK - the system freezes. Can anyone help me?

I'm running on:
ASUS P4P800
P4 2.4 GHz
1 GB RAM
IDE Maxtor 120 GB + SCSI Seagate Cheetah 18 GB HDDs
Radeon 9100 graphic card + Pinnacle DV studio plus video capture card
NEC ND 300 DVD burner
WIN XP PRO

Thanks for your response butter lover.

I just want to check out all inputs on my brand new DIGI 002 RACK. I connect SPDIF output from motherboard to SPDIF RACK input. I play a CD with ATI CD player, but every time I hit record in PT - the blue screen comes up and I need to restart windows. Weird. And it happens with other CD software players, too. Thanks for help again.
