Can I connect DIGI 002 RACK through firewire port on my video capture card or do I need a separate firwire controller (ASUS P4P800 doesn't have firewire ports). Anyone appreciated. Thanks
I'm running on: ASUS P4P800 P4 2.4 GHz 1 GB RAM IDE Maxtor 120 GB + SCSI Seagate Cheetah 18 GB HDDs Radeon 9100 graphic card + Pinnacle DV studio plus video capture card NEC ND 300 DVD burner WIN XP PRO |

Re: firewire connection: video capture card - 002 rack
You can not connect anything else to your 002 Firewire port. If you have to chain devices, the 002 must be the last one the chain. It is better to have a dedicated port for the 002 ...

Re: firewire connection: video capture card - 002 rack
Thanks for your response Kuleone.
I don't have anything else connected to RACK. But I have to connect RACK to computer through firewire cable, right? So I did it to firewire port on my video capture card (nothing else is connected at the same time). And I'm wondering is this OK (because it seems everything is working)or I HAVE TO buy a firewire controller - since this motherboard has USB ports only (no firewire ports present). Thanks |
