People have reported success from their ideascale bug reports.

The DUC is the lounge and not the input to the company.

They used to respond here a couple of years ago and I had some responses to my comments a few years back. Regime change will do that..Will post there also. Not sure why they don't. They do their announcements here, so it might be useful to had them chime in once in a while. They do have moderators who could report to them maybe.. Don't really know how it works. I hardly need them do, but only as of late. G

They respond if a mod points something out but I'd never count on it. Certainly you can post something in a rant thread and twiddle your thumbs to see if there is a response but it's an indirect way to contact them.

How it works is ideascale reports and support tickets. Like I said, this is the lounge and not the studio shop.

We do try to help when we can, especially with authorization issues.

But as Bob said, for for bug reports, the idea scale is a more direct approach.

Really well written and totally on point Wally and co. !

Just did my upgrade last week FROM HD ACCEL 2 8.1.1!!!! Never felt like 9 or 10 was worth the 999/1500 upgrade, and then by 11, it was too late. Finally did it last week- and decided to try the HD Native route first to see if all the "dude, Native now is HD from 2009" statements were true.

Of course they weren't, which I learned upon my very first tracking session yesterday. I click on low latency, and PT auto-bypasses all my headphone out sends. Yay.

Luckily, I did the upgrade with a pro re-seller guy who has agreed to let me trade in at full value and just pay the difference for HDX. Still, the notion that I have to pay an additional 2300 just so I won't have any latency....pretty infuriating.

Avid, like Apple, are on a money grab (consumer, pro-sumer market) and they have forgotten the customers who got them where they are.

You do know that an upcharge of only $2300 to HDX from HD Native is an insanely good deal, right? Until a couple months ago HDX would have been more like 6-7k extra. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your new system and it works solidly for you. I sure like my HDX rig.

Yes that was an awesome price drop, best thing ever.

Once my funds increase again, I really will consider it....b/c yes tracking with HDN isn't TDM....by a long shot
