how do I open these files????
I got files from an apparently hostile producer that put all his files in an 'unsupported format'. When I first try to import them, Ptools says thay are not audio - when I get info, I see that they are called Lex Source or Rez Source (when they are in fetch). Barbabatch does not recognize them, nor does Jam.
I am runnig a MAC. Is there a program I can buy or get that will make these audio files that I can use? Adding .wav does not make them usable (I know, duh, but I tried it). Help, please!!! thanx... javascript:void(0) |

I had a further look at the file you sent me. It looks like it's a headerless (RAW) 24 bit linear 1 channel 48KHz file (it could have been an SD2 originally, so May not have been intentionally done to scr*w you!). You can use something like Soundhack (or Cool Edit Pro or the estimable Rail's sd2toWav if you're on PC) to re-save it in a friendlier format. Good luck! Pete |
